Support for industry and regional bachelor's degrees, funding for educational initiatives, organization of webinars... The HESAM 2030 program continues!

The HESAM 2030 – Building Our Professions program is the winner of the second wave of the ANR “New University Curricula” (NCU) project, funded by the France 2030 plan. With a duration of 10 years and a budget of €9.6 million, this program aims to offer young vocational and technological high school graduates training courses that promote their success and professional integration.

More than 25 one-year post-secondary programs and 16 bachelor's degrees

Part of COMUE HESAM University, the program brings together several partner institutions: Arts et Métiers project leader), CESI, CNAM, and the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-La Villette, as well as an associate member, Les Compagnons du Devoir. This collaboration has led to the creation of more than 25 post-secondary programs and 16 bachelor's degrees throughout France.

Although COMUE HESAM was dissolved in 2024, cooperation between institutions continues actively in numerous research and training projects. The HESAM 2030 program's courses draw on the combined expertise of partner institutions and shared teaching practices, such as project-based learning and a skills-based approach.

Support for the development of industry-based and regional bachelor's degrees

Two degrees, at the Bac+1 and Bac+3 (Bachelor's) levels, are offered throughout France in highly vocational fields. The Bac+1 degrees are mainly offered by the CNAM, and one of them is also aimed at the Compagnons du Devoir. Bachelor's degrees are sometimes jointly offered (CESI/ENSA-PLV; CNAM/ENSA-PLV) or offered throughout the country. Some young people have apprentice status or complete long internships, allowing them to better understand the job market and put into practice the skills they have acquired from the teachers involved in these training programs.

WithinArts et Métiers, the program supports the development of Bachelor's degrees in industry and regional studies (Bordeaux campus, Châlons-en-Champagne, Dax, Niort, and Bergerac branches), while funding innovative educational initiatives. These include: the creation of a miniature MERI platform (a miniature production line – Bordeaux campus), an interaction tool for all partners (Wooclap), and training initiatives for teaching teams involved in these new courses in particular.

" In addition, to promote our work, share our expertise between research teams and leading players, and propose common tools to better monitor our cohorts, we organize days dedicated to our Student Success Observatory," explains Fanny Auzéau, administrator of the HESAM 2030 project. The next edition will be an opportunity to welcome other NCU projects so that we can learn from their progress and offer all our partners actions that are suited to our audience and our expectations."

Webinars covering educational topics

For several months now, the HESAM 2030 program has also been organizing webinars on educational topics and related subjects (project management, puzzle classes, and group work). The next webinar (Tuesday, November 18, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.) will be led by Jean-François Parmentier and will focus on generative AI and its impact on teaching and assessment (registration link). Upcoming topics will include emotions, nutrition, and sleep. Their impact on young people's learning will be presented by teachers from the French-speaking higher education sector.
