Biography of Jean-Christophe Loiseau

Jean-Christophe Loiseau, Senior Lecturer at the DynFluid Laboratory located on the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Paris, directed by Jean-Christophe Robinet, completed a PhD in Fluid Dynamics in 2014 at the same laboratory, focusing on the dynamics and global stability of three-dimensional flows. He has completed two post-doctorates, one in Sweden at KTH, the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, and the other at Politecnico di Bari in Italy.

Jean-Christophe Loiseau's research focuses on the stability analysis of large-scale systems and reduced-order modeling. From a dynamical systems perspective, most of his research activities are devoted to studying the physical mechanisms that cause various types of flows to transition to turbulence and to modeling these systems using data-driven techniques.
Jean-Christophe Loiseau also works on machine learning techniques to identify and characterize nonlinear systems. He teaches mathematics for engineers, dynamical systems theory, and scientific computing in Python.
