Meet Émilie Pariel, an educational engineering intern at the Bordeaux campus, who designs AI training courses as part of the CAIRE project.
A 100% ELF project
Since May 2024, Émilie Pariel has been working as an educational engineering intern on the CAIRE project at the Bordeaux-Talence campus. This project, which is part of Evolutive Learning Factories ELF), aims to offer modular training courses on artificial intelligence, tailored to different audiences. "I work on building skill sets and structuring content, in collaboration with AI experts," she explains. "We choose the most appropriate educational formats: videos, infographics, distance learning modules, face-to-face workshops, etc."
CAIRE, like other projects led by ELF, aims to radically transform teaching practices with a strong focus on digital technology, modularity, and interdisciplinarity. "We are still in the early stages of structuring, but the idea is to make training as accessible and effective as possible, regardless of the learner's profile."
An unusual career path
Before joining Arts et Métiers, Émilie followed a unique path: she chose to pursue entrepreneurship in the digital sector at a very early age, after completing a high school diploma in literature and a technical degree in communications. "I discovered educational engineering somewhat by chance, while creating training materials for digital companies. I found it fascinating. " She is currently pursuing a work-study program at OpenClassrooms and has chosen to carry out her mission within a higher education institution. "What I like here is that I am trusted. I have been able to contribute my vision, based on my background in marketing and communications, on how to structure and present a training program."
His expertise in content development is an asset for CAIRE, whose resources will be widely distributed, particularly via digital platforms. "We work extensively on the image, tone, and learning objectives... Each module is designed as a complete educational product."
Collaborate with multiple teams and various partners
Participating in an inter-institutional project such as CAIRE involves collaborating with multiple teams and various partners. "It's a bit complex to coordinate everyone because everyone has their own habits and vocabulary. But that's also what makes the project so rich."
Very attached to her independence, Émilie is continuing her freelance work alongside her studies and thinking about what to do next. "I know I want to work part-time to maintain a good work-life balance. I'd like to stay with the project if possible, or else embark on a new adventure in education, or even in another field such as psychology. In any case, this experience has given me confidence and helped me establish myself in what I really love to do."

It aims to train a wide audience—students, professionals, citizens—in the challenges of artificial intelligence through hybrid, certified, and accessible courses.
