September 2, 2024 will remain a memorable day, marking the inauguration of the new teaching, research, and innovation building on the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Rabat, located within the prestigious UM6P Campus in Rabat-Salé. It was a long-awaited day to welcome new students to the Grande École Program, and in a few days, those enrolled in the Bachelor's degree program in Technologies for the Industry of the Future.
This exceptional start to the academic year was marked by the presence of renowned guests from the socio-economic world: Faouzi Annajah, the inventor of the first hydrogen car equipped with interchangeable capsule technology, shared his inspiring journey with first-year engineering students. In addition, Haas Automation, Inc., the world leader in CNC machine tools, met with students to present its expertise and solutions, offering a glimpse into Industry 4.0 technologies.

An orientation week focused on hands-on experience

On September 4, first-year students continued their orientation week with an industrial visit to the Stellantis plant in Kenitra, one of Morocco's largest automotive factories. This immersion offered future engineers a unique opportunity to discover the behind-the-scenes of industrial production, from the assembly line to the management of cutting-edge technologies.
Discussions with Stellantis managers, particularly on the topics of innovation, energy optimization, and the transition to sustainable solutions, allowed students to deepen their understanding of the current challenges facing the automotive industry. The visit was perfectly in line with the experiential learning approach promoted by the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Rabat.
The Rabat campus stands out for its state-of-the-art infrastructure. Its technological platforms enable students to work on innovative engineering projects, particularly in the fields of mechanics, mechatronics, renewable energies, eco-design, and robotics.

Major accreditations for a growing campus

This academic year has been marked by two major announcements that confirm the academic excellence of the Rabat campus. On the one hand, the campus has obtained accreditation from the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur (CTI), a guarantee of international recognition of the quality of the courses offered. Second, it is now officially recognized by the Moroccan government. Students therefore receive two degrees at the end of their studies: the Moroccan State Engineer title and the Arts et Métiers degree.

As a reminder, the Rabat campus is the result of a partnership between the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Arts et Métiers France. It has the status of a public higher education institution, managed by a private foundation. The campus is organized according to the higher education, research, and entrepreneurship model of the eight French Arts et Métiers campuses.
