Since 1973, it has promoted partnership-based research and technology transfer activities betweenArts et Métiers laboratoriesArts et Métiers companies.
AMVALOR employs a total of 165 people at its 12 regional sites, 80% of whom are research engineers.

Since the creation of the Carnot label in 2006, AMVALOR has also managed the ARTS Carnot Institute for Arts et Métiers, which brings together the multidisciplinary skills and cutting-edge equipment of 23 public research laboratories to support business innovation throughout France.
