Entrepreneurship

From April 13 to 15, 70 coaches, business leaders, startup founders, and executives from major corporations will be on hand to support the 150 students from 1first first-year students in the Grande Ecole Engineering Programme 20group students from other schools or universities in the Aix-en-Provence area during the 4thedition edition of JITCAM (Campus Arts et Métiers Technological Innovation Days).

What is a business game at Arts et Métiers?
It involves brainstorming about an innovative project, product, or service related to themes proposed by our partner companies, EDF and VINCI Energies.

A practical exercise for first-year students
Entrepreneurship is one of the key skills for engineering students. Arts et Métiers numerous initiatives throughout the three years of the Grande Ecole Engineering Programme, ranging from raising awareness in the first year of the program to project development (through a specialized track in the second year and an internship in the third year).

These specific actions are carried out internally (expertise of laboratories, teachers, researchers) but also with the support of the campus ecosystem (the SUD Region, PEPITE Provence, incubators, campus business networks, etc.).

The aim is to enable students to discover this career path and, potentially, to develop an idea or project further. On the one hand, this helps to identify future entrepreneurs who will be supported as they progress, and on the other, it provides all students with skills that are sought after by companies and that they can reinvest in their future career choices.

Societal themes to address the challenges of tomorrow
Three days to promote innovation by addressing societal and environmental issues proposed by our partner companies "Engineers serving the planet":

  • energy transition
  • ecological transition
  • decarbonization
  • smart city and smart building, lighting, public facilities, building
  • transportation
  • resource management
  • services of tomorrow
