Medical imaging and artificial intelligence to reconstruct the human body in 3D
- Location: George Charpak Institute of Human Biomechanics (IBHGC)
- Host: Laurent Gajny
- Description: In this workshop, we invite you to discover the EOS system, co-invented by ENSAM, which uses two X-rays to reconstruct the bones of the human body in 3D. You will also discover how artificial intelligence helps clinicians and engineers obtain these models as automatically as possible.
Ultrasound in biomechanics: how to use ultrasound and elastography to characterize soft tissues
- Location: George Charpak Institute of Human Biomechanics (IBHGC)
- Moderator: Claudio VERGARI, Pierre-Yves ROHAN
- Description: Ultrasound is a medical imaging modality that was developed for clinical practice in the 1970s. Following the advent of Doppler imaging in the 1990s, the principles of elastography emerged to better characterize the mechanical properties of tissues and attempt to provide quantitative information to supplement the physician's qualitative palpation. During this workshop, you will learn about the use of ultrasound and elastography for research purposes at the IBHGC. (inspired byhttps://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2211570613000398)
