A family affair

Daniela enrolled in the dual degree program in mechanical engineering in 2014 atthe Universidad Nacional Experimental del Táchira. Her cousin had completed the same dual degree program seven years earlier and had particularly enjoyed her two years at Arts et Métiers. Highly motivated, Daniela began taking French classes in her first year of higher education.

Academic excellence and Eiffel scholarship

She was top of her class in Venezuela and managed to secure an Eiffel Excellence Scholarship.

The Eiffel Scholarship Program is a tool developed by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs to enable French higher education institutions to attract the best international students to master's and doctoral degree programs.

This year, 349 candidates were selected from among 1,500 applicants. The winners receive monthly financial assistance and have their airfare covered. This means that Daniela can focus fully on her studies.

The biggest difference compared to her studies in Venezuela? Lectures in lecture halls! Daniela particularly appreciates the importance of practical work in the program, the number of partnerships with companies, and student life.

A regular recipient of merit-based scholarships

In 2014, Daniela had already received a scholarship thanks to her outstanding results, which enabled her to study at the University of Alabama. This scholarship covered half of her tuition fees and allowed her to improve her English.

After completing her studies, Daniela would like to work in France in the mechanical engineering industry.
