Reveleo, a startup incubated at Arts et Métiers January 1, 2021, specializes in environmental health assessments of housing and territories. Through a smartphone app, it provides individuals and professionals with exclusive analyses that enable them to better understand their surroundings and thus make the best choice of place to live, for their health and the environment.

At the origins of Reveleo, friends involved in the ecological transition

Four friends, Pierre Baux, Matthieu Engles, Aurélien Alfaré, and Florian Leblanc, all committed to the environment, founded Reveleo. Pierre, an engineer by training, works in energy-efficient building renovation, while Aurélien completed a specialized master's degree in renewable energy at Arts et Métiers.

We are the primary users of the app.

After completing a consulting project for ADEME on the topic of building renovation, Pierre and Aurélien realized that energy savings are not the only—or even the main—driver of renovation. The decision to take action often stems from a combination of a broad interest in the environment (climate, biodiversity, pollution, etc.) and a growing concern for one’s own health and that of loved ones.

This observation led to the creation of Reveleo!

An app that makes hard-to-access information available to citizens

Reveleo’s motto? ” “Choose places that are good for you and for the environment!

Using various indicators (air quality, noise pollution, local amenities, etc.), users can choose the best place to live for their health and the environment. In a later phase, it will be possible to prioritize the criteria they consider most important.

Reveleo offers analysis at three levels: the territory, the neighborhood, and the building itself, based on four main pillars: living environment, mobility, essential services, and sustainable and civic services.

The indicators are drawn from dozens of public databases that are difficult to access and hard to understand. Reveleo makes this information available to the public in a clear and accessible format.

This is a particularly important app, then! Reveleo was even named a winner of ADEME’s “Companies Committed to the Ecological Transition” call for projects this year.

What next?

The app is available in app stores. New features will be added in the coming months.
