Benefits of the training

The training aims to provide participants with specific knowledge on major environmental issues, energy consumption, supply chains, and materials for the environment.

This training program enables participants to acquire skills related to optimal energy use, environmental improvement of industrial processes, and pollution control processes.

The training is provided by teaching staff and research professors from Arts et Métiers the University of Bordeaux, as well as largely by industrialists and experts in the field.

The courses and projects are backed by the expertise of the Institute of Engineering and Mechanics (I2M) in Bordeaux and, more broadly, in collaboration with laboratories on the Bordeaux university campus.

Career opportunities

The positions are Production Manager, Operations Manager, R&D Engineer, Research Engineer, with engineering positions in

- Engineering firms specializing in: Construction (thermal engineering or the implementation and monitoring of high environmental quality (HQE) construction projects), Renewable Energy (solar, thermodynamics, wood energy, methanization and biogas, wind power, river or marine hydroelectric power), thermal-energy or hydraulic engineering related to industrial and environmental thermal engineering,

- public service companies for waste management, water, energy, and environmental services,

- in industries related to renewable and alternative energy production, or manufacturing in the food and textile sectors, as well as industries related to natural raw materials (leather, wood, paper, petroleum, coal products), hydrocarbon processing (plastic and rubber products), non-metallic minerals, and primary metal processing.

The areas covered are:

Energy sectors, specifically renewable energies, but also professions related to buildings, energy, and construction.

Environmental field for analysis, prevention, waste and effluent treatment, remediation,

Field of materials for sustainable development (circular economy) and environmental impact assessment
