The Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille is hosting the mobility workshop as part of Lille Métropole 2020 Design Capital.

More than just mobility, mobility solutions are transforming our cities... and our lives.

The field of design explores all forms of mobility and services to respond to current and future ecological and social challenges. Energy transition, climate challenges, air quality, new lifestyles and consumption patterns, social solidarity... the aim is to satisfy people's freedom of movement, paying particular attention to vulnerable groups, while reducing the environmental impact of the means of transport used.

Designers, planners, manufacturers, researchers, and others are rethinking how we use mobility and sharing their vision through completed or experimental projects. These will be complemented by exhibitions, round tables, workshops, expert talks, and other highlights.

From September 9 to 20, 2020, the Mobility Workshop will be hosted at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille. The program, developed in partnership with i-VIATIC, will address two themes: "Active mobility and mobility services"and "Getting around in the city of tomorrow." The agenda includes experiments and demonstrations of innovative projects and roundtable discussions.

An exhibition organized by Gustave Eiffel University on "robomobile life"will present the work produced by a forward-looking workshop on the future of cities in 2050, focusing on autonomous vehicles.

Two bike trailswill crisscross the Mining Basin, connecting creations that combine design and architectural quality, allowing visitors to take in the landscape, observe nature, play, rest, meet others, experiment, or simply let themselves be surprised.
