Students from the Specialized Master's program in Maintenance Management invite you to attend the 19th symposium onOptimizing Maintenance Through Effective Obsolescence Management" on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Paris in Lecture Hall A.

Created in 1989, the Specialized Master's Degree in Maintenance Management aims to train highly technical managers responsible for the maintenance of industrial and tertiary sector equipment. It enables engineers to develop their ability to analyze equipment performance, make diagnoses, and take the necessary decisions in line with the company's economic and social policy.

We live in a world of technological advances, where science, technology, and commerce are evolving at a rapid pace. These developments bring a host of benefits and offer new technical possibilities, but they also create a series of inconveniences: obsolescence. Obsolescence generally refers to the process by which a product, technology, or resource becomes outdated, obsolete, or obsolete, which can make it difficult, costly, or inefficient to use.

Today, obsolescence management is a major concern for many industries, with companies implementing proactive strategies to anticipate, mitigate, and manage the risks associated with the obsolescence of products, technologies, and resources. This is because the withdrawal of obsolete technologies over time generates multiple additional costs related to analyzing and resolving unavailability issues.

It is this concern that led us to organize the 19th symposium of the Specialized Master's Degree in Maintenance Management on the theme of " OPTIMIZING MAINTENANCE THROUGH EFFECTIVE OBSOLESCENCE MANAGEMENT." Through the experience of various speakers and experts, the aim will be to highlight obsolescence management in the field of maintenance in the tertiary and industrial sectors.
