On May 29, the campus will host the first edition of the PAROI Challenge, led by Jean-Philippe Costes, bringing together 60 university and high school students around a challenge: to design and build a wall element for housing with the triple objectives of thermal performance, durability, and low environmental impact.

Ten teams have experimented, designed, and built a wall during this academic year and will come to campus with their supervisors to present and defend their work in front of building professionals: architects, design offices, companies, etc.

This cross-disciplinary project in building techniques is unique in that it brings together audiences from different educational backgrounds:

The partner for this day is the Plateforme d’Equilibre Territorial et Rural du Pays Sud-Bourgogne (Platform for Territorial and Rural Balance in Southern Burgundy) and its program "Rénover en Bourgogne" (Renovating in Burgundy).

The organization is supported by the campus and the Civil Engineering, Construction, and Sustainable Housing IUTs in Auxerre and Belfort.
