On Saturday, May 6, the campus will celebrate the graduates of the Class of 2018 from the Grande Ecole Engineering Programme. 141 of them, along with 4 from the previous class, will receive their diplomas on the Aix-en-Provence campus.

A highlight in the life of the institution

The graduation ceremony takes place on campus, in the large machining hall. This is a symbolic location, as much of their practical training in the workshop took place there, as well as many festive occasions.

This event, which symbolically marks the end of their studies, is a highlight for graduates and their families, the culmination of several years of demanding training spent in the classroom. Most entered the workforce immediately after completing their studies, while others continued their studies for a few more years (double degree, doctorate).

Graduates and medalists: excellence rewarded

Each of them will take to the stage to receive their diploma personally from the campus director.

The top-ranked graduates (the top 8 in the final national ranking based on 3 years of study) will receive a gold medal! This year, there are two graduates in Aix, including the valedictorian.
Graduates ranked after the gold medalists and among the top 10% in the national rankings will be awarded a silver medal. This year, this applies to 11 graduates from the class of 2018 and 4 from the class of 2017.

Mobile students attached to their home campus

Each year,Arts et Métiers more than 1,100 engineering students in Grande Ecole Engineering Programme. During their studies, students experience significant domestic and international mobility; depending on their area of specialization, they cannot remain on the same campus for three consecutive years.
This opportunity is further enhanced by the many study tracks offered in the third year, both in France and abroad. International mobility is, in fact, mandatory for graduation.

Despite this mobility, students receive their degrees from the campus where they began their first year, not the last one they attended. This choice reflects the strong attachment that students in the Grande Ecole Engineering Programme feel Grande Ecole Engineering Programme their original campus!
