9th SME Meetings with Engineering Schools in the South Region

These meetings aim to connect engineering students with local SMEs and mid-cap companies through booths and workshops. This will allow students to discover the opportunities offered by SMEs.

The event is aimed at first-year students from the three schools, with around 500 students expectedto attend; however, other year groups are also welcome.

Students will be offered workshops covering three different topics:

• the engineering profession in SMEs
• the profession of engineering consultant
• the profession of renewable energy engineer.

These workshops will be led by the CEOs of these SMEs, according to their sector of activity.

The aim is to introduce students to the often little-known world of SMEs and to spark their curiosity:

• career opportunities
• versatility of tasks
• taking responsibility, salary flexibility, autonomy
• discovering a profession/industry
