News

On January 22 and 23, 2025, more than 200 participants gathered for an educational seminar. This was a record turnout for the tenth edition, which was held in Metz for the first time.

The annual event for education

The educational seminar is the flagship educational event of the year at the institution.
Bringing together teachers from all Arts et Métiers sites, it allows other stakeholders in education to be involved in teaching, such as students, alumni, members of DISSO, and AtriuM staff.

"Skills and assessments": the key theme

This year, the discussions focused on the competency-based approach. This approach must be in place by 2028 for the periodic visit by the CTI. And for an institution the sizeArts et Métiers, a few years are not too long to think about how to implement this approach in a harmonized manner.
Round tables, disciplinary and interdisciplinary workshops, and discussion sessions allowed participants to draw inspiration, ask questions, and propose their vision.
The discussions are now being taken up by the EPNP (National Multidisciplinary Teaching Teams) and DAFOR managers to move forward with the implementation of the competency-based approach at the institution level.

A coordinated organization

Organized by ICIFTech (Institute for Consulting and Innovation in Technological Training), which defines the format, topics covered, and orchestrates the organization, the seminar is also the result of collaboration within the institution.
The Mission department based on the Angers campus is responsible for enabling participants to book their train tickets and hotels (more than 200 participants, remember!).
As for the staff at the Metz campus, they were mobilized to manage all the logistics and organization on site, including a tour of the campus.
The next meeting is scheduled for 2026 in Châlons-en-Champagne!
