Who is Giovanni Radilla?
A native of Mexico City, Giovanni Radilla attended high school at the French Lycée in Mexico City. He then completed his preparatory classes for the Grandes Écoles in the Applied Technology track (now Technology and Industrial Sciences) in La Rochelle, at the Lycée Polyvalent Léonce Vieljeux. Ranked second in the entrance exam Grande Ecole Engineering Programme Arts et Métiers Grande Ecole Engineering Programme , Giovanni Radilla began his engineering studies at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Bordeaux-Talence in 1991. He subsequently earned a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from 1994 to 1997, focusing on “Groundwater Contamination by Hydrocarbons: laboratory experiments, modeling, interpretation, and solution of inverse problems for estimating transport properties” at LEPT-ENSAM (now the Institute of Mechanics and Engineering), under the supervision of Michel QUINTARD and Henri BERTIN.
Giovanni Radilla first served as a Temporary Teaching and Research Assistant and then as an Associate Professor at the École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Nancy, where he taught for eleven years, from 1997 to 2008.
He joined the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Châlons-en-Champagne in 2008 as an associate professor.
In 2012, he received his Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) from the University of Lorraine and was named a Chevalier des Palmes Académiques. In 2014, he was appointed to the rank of university professor.
In addition, since 2010, Giovanni Radilla has served as director of the oldestArts et Métiers campus, the Châlons-en-Champagne campus, which was founded in 1806.
