Words fromArts et Métiers is back with a new episode: Metallurgical innovation at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Cluny and the LabCom CLAS: a conversation with Philippe Jacquet

Background

In ParolesArts et Métiers, we talk about industry, innovation, transitions, health, materials, new technologies, and many other topics related to engineering sciences and Arts et Métiers. Everyone in the Arts et Métiers community—students, staff, and alumni—is involved in the adventure. In each episode, designed and hosted by Carole Wahnoun, a research engineer on the Paris campus, with technical support from Jean-Marc Rousseau, Multimedia Designer and Producer atICIFTech, one or more guests take the time to discuss an important topic related to Arts et Métiers.

Podcast introduction

We will discuss metallurgy, and more specifically steel surface treatment, with Philippe Jacquet, a professor and researcher, deputy director of the Materials and Processes Laboratory (LaBoMaP), and head of the LabCom CLAS joint laboratory, which is funded by the French National Research Agency. LaBoMaP and LabCom CLAS are located on the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Cluny.

Highlights

  • Metallic materials
  • Research at the Materials and Processes Laboratory (LaBoMaP) focused on thermal and thermochemical treatments as well as the analysis of metallurgical structures
  • Metallurgy programs at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Cluny: tips and resources to explore
  • The LabCom CLAS, a project proposed by the National Research Agency
  • A Look Back at the First Shape-Memory Alloys

Who is Philippe Jacquet?
