Valentin Moreno, a second-year student in the Grande École program at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Châlons, and his friend Afnan Khan, a student at CentraleSupélec Paris, have launched a website to connect individuals with phone repairers!
Valentin and Afnan have known each other for several years now. They attended preparatory classes together and have always wanted to start their own business. It was during the first lockdown that Afnan had the idea of creating a website to connect individuals with phone repairers. So he contacted Valentin, who immediately agreed to join him in this project!
Project timeline
First of all, Valentin and Afnan wanted to learn coding on the internet, but it was quite long and complicated.So they thought about hiring a professional, but that solution was too expensive. So they thought about another other way and started coding the pageskey key pages of the site with WordPressordpress, a more affordable solution, and tackledthe the visual aspect.
But in December, even though the project was alreadyunderway, they discovered a development program that was even more accessible than WordPressWordPress, Bubble.io. This program allows you to code a website by introducing a new way of building applications and software.
And that's how the site began to take shape!
How does it work?
On Feexn, there will be two main categories: repairers and individuals. As their roles are different, they will not have access to the same features.
Individuals:
Individuals will need to create a profile in order to access to Feexnservices. Once the profile has been created, they will be able to enter the brand of their phone and the problem (broken screen, battery issue, etc.). Then, they will write their address in the search bar and that's where the site will display the repairers available near them within a kilometer radius theythey have chosen. He ne them remainsra then all that remains is to consult the rates and choose the technician who suits based on their requirements: low price, quality, etc.. Before the choice repairer, they can also consult various comments about technicians and use the messaging service to communicate with the repairer, which may allow them to adjust the quote, for example. in certain cases.
Repairers:
Repairers will also need to create a profile that will be divided into three partss :
- Personal information
- Professional data
- Profile and specialties
Once this information has been entered, it will appear on the website and customers will be able to view their profile.
The advantage of this project for individuals will be toconducting a quick and efficient search. As for repairers, it will give them optimal and build customer trust.
Another positive aspect of Feexn is its environmental impact. Indeed, repairing your phone extends its lifespan and thus reduces the production of new devices, which saves CO2.
The site is not yet fully operational but will be available soon!
