The GaSole association organizes community service initiatives throughout the year, involving engineering students from Grande Ecole Engineering Programme raising environmental awareness, organizing charity events, collecting food donations...

The association is launching a new project in 2021 by taking over the Bordeaux branch of Action Froid. The latter organizes outreach programs throughout France, with the aim of reaching out to homeless people.

A group of about ten students got together to carry out a three-hour outreach program every week in the streets of Bordeaux at dusk.

These outreach visits provide an opportunity to bring essential items to homeless people: food, clothing, and hygiene products. To this end, GaSole had previously organized a collection drive for these items and now has a large stockpile.

But according to Amélie Charbonnel, president of GaSole, "The most important thing is to spend time with homeless people, over a cup of coffee or a bowl of soup."
