Arts et Métiers also boasts diversity among its faculty members!

Here is an example with Nan Kang, a lecturer and researcher in additive manufacturing at the MSMP laboratory on the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Châlons-en-Champagne, who joined us on September 1.

This interview is in two parts:

  • An educational section covering Nan's career path, his responsibilities in his new position, and why he chose to come to the School.
  • Another cultural segment where Nan talks about the shocking differences between France and China for him and introduces us to traditional Chinese music.

Nan had already been to France before for his studies, but he had also worked at the MSMP laboratory on the Aix-en-Provence campus before arriving at the Châlons site, where he is currently teaching additive manufacturing. Later, he will work on die casting at the "Evolutive Learning Factory in Châlons.

By watching this video, you will also learn more about Chinese culture. Nan tells us about a difference between China and France that he finds shocking, and also introduces us to traditional Chinese musical instruments such as the pipa.
