On October 4 and 5, 2025, students from the Cluny and Aix-en-Provence campuses of the “ Arts et Métiers ” gathered in Cluny for a weekend dedicated to fellowship, sharing, and building relationships. Together, they participated in various restoration and renovation projects alongside numerous local organizations and partners.
Working Together for the Good of the Region
Throughout the weekend, the students took part in various activities organized in collaboration with local stakeholders.
Many local organizations and groups have joined forces with them: Restos du Cœur, La Clé de la Rose, the Compagnie des Archers Baraban, Les Djeuns des Cras, Sendon, the Tour Saint-Mayeul, the Jardins d’Avril, Les Amis de la Novelline, the Cluny Tourist Office, Les Colporteurs de Jeux, the Jardin de Simples, the Red Cross, Maison Fropier (IMOTEP), the Clunisois Hospital Center, the Maison des Échevins, the Clunisois Community of Municipalities, the Sanatorium, ETAP, and the Cluny City Hall.
These various projects have enabled students at the Cluny and Aix-en-Provence campuses to share their experiences, learn about each other’s traditions, and build connections through concrete actions.
Activities and Gatherings
Among the students who got involved was Sophia, a first-year student in the Grande École Program (PGE), who joined her classmates in organizing a fundraiser for Restos du Cœur in Mâcon.
For his part, Clément, also a first-year student in the PGE program, created medieval games with Jean-Luc Maréchal’s organization, Les Colporteurs de Jeux. This gave him the opportunity to take part in a group project while interacting with students from Aix-en-Provence.
Brotherhood, Sharing, and Solidarity
Beyond the various projects that were carried out, this weekend provided an opportunity for students from both campuses to meet with local stakeholders.
This collective experience was made possible thanks to the efforts of local organizations, partners, and institutions, which welcomed and supported the students over the course of these two days.
