At a press conference on September 12, 2023, Arts et Métiers its intention to train more engineers. How? By developing partnerships, increasing the range of courses on offer, opening new campuses, and more.

" Every year in France, 50,000 engineers are trained, but the need will be 100,000 by 2027. Our goal is to increase the number of Arts et Métiers graduates by 50% Arts et Métiers 2027 ," said Laurent Champaney, CEOArts et Métiers a press conference on September 12, 2023. Accompanied by Nadège Troussier,Deputy CEO for Training, and Coline Moal Vignon, Director of AMTalents, he presented the institution's major projects.

Develop partnerships to expand Arts et Métiers training programs

In order to expand its training programs while maintaining control over the process, Arts et Métiers new partnerships. These partnerships also aim to increase the number of Arts et Métiers graduates.

A structured partnership with ISTP to become an Arts et Métiers engineer

Become a specialist engineer atArts et Métiers a work-study program on the ISTP campusISTP campus in Saint-Etienne. This program aims to train high-level executives capable of managing complex projects focused on the design of mechanical and mechatronic products and equipment. The first intake took place on September 11, 2023, with a group of 18 apprentices. The goal is to reach 60 graduates per year by 2027. 
 

The opening of an Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Rabat, Morocco

In partnership with Morocco’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, the opening of this Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers the 2024 academic year will strengthen the institution’s presence in the Maghreb and expand its reach into Africa, while also supporting the many industrial companies in Rabat. For the 2023 academic year, 13 Moroccan students in the Grande Ecole Engineering Programme were welcomed to the Metz campus. Recruitment of students for the Bachelor of Technology program, a three-year degree, will take place for the upcoming academic year. The goal is to reach 100 engineering graduates per year by 2027, as well as 60 graduates per year with a three-year degree.
 

A campus project in Le Havre, Normandy

At the request of the Normandy Region and after assessing local needs with Edouard Philippe, mayor of Le Havre, Arts et Métiers to open an Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers the city by 2027. The future building will house bothArts et Métiers University of Le Havre IUT courses. Part of the building will also be reserved for the Crous university restaurant.
 

Other collaborative projects are being carried out in support of theArts et Métiers sectors.

  • The CaMeX-IA project, one of nine Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications (Vocational Training and Qualifications Campuses) in the Grand Est region, provides training in the use of artificial intelligence and digital technology for professions in industry, building, and construction.
  • The CAIRE Project, " Citizen-oriented Artificial Intelligence training for a Responsible Education," led byHESAM University, aims to establish a sustainable approach to training students to serve organizations and regions by extensively integrating acculturation and mastery of artificial intelligence techniques and technologies.

Developing lifelong learning support with the AMTalents subsidiary

Faced with rapid changes in the industry and its professions, continuing education is more necessary than ever. Through its subsidiary AMTalents, created in 2021,Arts et Métiers its expertise available to workers to contribute to their employability throughout their professional lives and meet the growing need for skills in companies. In 2023, the AMTalents subsidiary launched apprenticeship and continuing education programs in conjunction with Arts et Métiers training offerings, Arts et Métiers as:
  • The establishment of a partnership with DSTI (Data ScienceTech Institute) to address the challenges of the digital industry (Industry 4.0) in order to offer a degree to engineers and support to companies facing the challenges of digitalization in industry: "Digital Industry and AI"
  • A partnership withESSCA, a leading business school, to launch an Experiential Online MBA, the " MBA BUSINESS & TECHNOLOGY" , in September 2024. This program combines online courses with experiential face-to-face modules, such as immersion in the Arts et Métiers innovation laboratory Arts et Métiers an American campus of technological excellence.
  • The 14 Arts et Métiers Specialized Master's degreesoffer highly specialized training in a specific role, profession, or rapidly growing sector, with approximately 160 to 200 students enrolled each year.
AMTalents aims to contribute to impact reduction and adaptation strategies in order to master all possible technical trajectories, such as linear and circular economies, high-tech and low-tech localization, etc.
Currently, more than 1,000 apprentices are training atArts et Métiers , 380Arts et Métiers are managed by the AMTalents subsidiary. The goal for 2027 is to increase the number of apprentices by 50%.
