BECOMING A NEW PLAYER IN INNOVATION IN THREE YEARS

In response to climate challenges and evolving construction practices, the MACOBI Bachelor’s program (Bio-based, Renewable, and Local Materials for the Transition to Low-Impact Construction) is training a new generation of professionals capable of balancing technical performance, innovation, and environmental requirements.

This unique three-year apprenticeship program combines the excellence of the “ Arts et Métiers ” and ENSA Paris-La Villette to train specialists in bio-based, renewable, and locally sourced materials, who are poised to become key players in transforming the sector and strengthening synergies among the various economic sectors of sustainable construction.

Offered on two campuses—in Paris and, during the third year, through a study abroad program in Cluny (Bourgogne-Franche-Comté)—the program provides students with an opportunity to explore different regions and immerse themselves in the field of sustainable construction. Through an innovative teaching approach based on project-based learning and collaborations with industry professionals, students develop a deep understanding of low-environmental-impact materials, their applications, and the economic, technical, and regulatory challenges involved.

The MACOBI Bachelor's Degree Program

The program is designed to meet the needs of the sector's transformation, drawing on expertise in both architecture and engineering. This is a unique three-year apprenticeship program.

• First Year: Foundations of Building Science and Technology + Introduction to Architectural Design and Materials Science
• 2nd Year: An In-Depth Exploration of Sustainable Materials, Green Building, and Related Issues 
• 3rd year: Specialization in Wood and Engineering Science

Admission Requirements for the MACOBI Bachelor's Degree Program

1. Application on the Parcoursup platform
2. Admission based on application materials, depending on high school grades
3. Admission following a motivational interview 

--> Conditional admission (obtaining a high school diploma and signing a valid apprenticeship contract)
