The Société des Ingénieurs Arts et Métiers pleased to announce the first edition of Open Factory Days, a brand-new event that will take place on April 4 and 5, 2025!

Open Factory Days

Inspired by Heritage Days, this national initiative aims to bring French people closer to their industries and raise public awareness of the crucial challenges of reindustrialization in our country.

For this first edition, more than 200 factories across France are opening their doors. From Friday, April 4, dedicated to school visits, to Saturday, April 5, reserved for the general public, this event will be a unique opportunity to discover the diversity and richness of France's industrial fabric and to better understand the challenges and opportunities associated with the reindustrialization of our economy.

Open Factory Days are a positive and unifying event. They showcase the professions and skills within each company and recognize employees by giving them the opportunity to share their profession and work environment with their friends and family. It is also a way to raise the profile of companies locally and establish them in the regional landscape.

Stéphane Gorce, President of the Society of Arts et Métiers Engineers

Who is it for?

On Friday, April 4, middle and high school students will be invited to visit factories to learn about careers in industry. On Saturday, April 5, families and the general public will have access to open factories, allowing everyone to better understand the challenges of France's reindustrialization and to familiarize themselves with innovation, technology, and industrial professions. It will also be an opportunity to see production sites up close, where visitors can discover the manufacturing process for products ranging from everyday goods to high technology.

Where?

The Open Factory Days will not be limited to a single region, but will extend across the whole of France.
