The Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Paris is opening its doors to fifth-grade classes for this year's Science Festival! The program includes workshops and stands where visitors can learn about engineering sciences.
Thursday, October 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Workshop topics
The Ingenious Ones
Discover how your ideas take shape through drawing and 3D printing. Students will guide you in creating a small personalized object to take home as a souvenir. A fun introduction to technologies that are transforming everyday life!
Hosted by Arts et Métiers students
Journey to the Heart of the Universe – Physics for Adventurers
Embark on a scientific journey to the far reaches of space! Discover the laws of the universe through amazing experiments. An exciting adventure that combines curiosity and exploration.
Hosted by Michaël Pereira
Ultrasound
Did you know that sound can reveal the invisible? Come and discover ultrasound and its surprising applications in human biomechanics, technology, and everyday life. An interactive workshop to hear what the human ear cannot perceive!
Hosted by Claudio Vergari
AI Workshop
Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of artificial intelligence. Through quizzes, games, and demonstrations, discover how to recognize images or music generated by AI. A fun introduction to better understand this essential technology.
Hosted by Cécile Weltman, Clara Magnin, Florence Dumard, and Sabrina Martinie
Initiative supported by the project CAIRE
Composites and materials workshops
Go behind the scenes to discover the materials of tomorrow! Come explore the world of composites, lightweight and resistant materials used in aeronautics, sports, and even the automotive industry. Demonstrations and hands-on activities will allow you to discover all their properties.
Hosted by Juan Pablo Marquez Costa, Fakhreddine Ababsa, Frédéric Letellier, Jean-Baptiste Marijon, and Alain Guinault
3D printing booth
Watch objects take shape before your eyes, layer by layer! 3D printing transforms a simple digital file into a real object. A creative and accessible technology that is already revolutionizing many professions.
Hosted by Jean-Baptiste Septiers and Imade Koutiri
Incubator stand
Discover how innovations are born thanks to the Arts et Métiers incubator, which has been supporting innovative and sustainable industrial projects for over 10 years: mobility, robotics, materials, medical devices, energy, Greentech, deeptech, services and technologies for industry, Industry 4.0, and more.
Hosted by Corinne Raclin and the startup Vestaclim

The day before, on Wednesday, October 8, the campus was already buzzing with excitement for Science Day with the arrivalof Antoine Petit, CEO of the CNRS, who attended one of the Unusual Visits organized at the PIMM laboratory (Processes and Engineering in Mechanics and Materials). These tours, created by the CNRS in 2020, allow a small number of participants, chosen at random, to enjoy a unique scientific experience, discovering what goes on behind the scenes in the laboratories and talking directly with the researchers. Entitled "Lasers! And then there was light", the PIMM tour immersed participants in the fascinating world of lasers and their many applications, from medicine to aeronautics, including cutting-edge technologies for industry.
