The excavation program carried out between 2015 and 2019 at Cluny Abbey aimed to study the monastic infirmary. The results of this research have led to the organization of an international symposium.

The aim of this meeting is to compare the different structures related to healthcare in the abbey, in the hospices of monastic towns and, more broadly, in the city during the medieval and modern periods. The purpose of this symposium is to compare the various available data, whether archaeological, textual, liturgical, or iconographic.
