For the fifth consecutive year, Arts et Métiers the results of its study entitled "Young People and Industry," conducted in partnership with OpinionWay. The study aims to understand and analyze how high school students studying science and technology perceive industry.

An opinion that has been steadily improving over the past five years

High school students in science and technology programs have a more positive view of industry than ever since the survey started, with 77% of them having a good opinion of it. (+8 points over 5 years). The major role it plays in the economy and the innovation it creates are the main reasons given. Conversely, the economic difficulties facing the industry and the pollution it generates explain the negative image held by 22% of high school students.

Far from the image sometimes conveyed of an aging sector, young people are optimistic about the industry, considering that, in addition to being a crucial sector, it is also a sector with a bright future. This industry of the future, based on innovation, seems to them to be a realistic prospect.
