Arts et Métiers offers, in partnership with ISTP, a specialized engineering program in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering.

Arts et Métiers ’s new presence in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region also reflects the institution’s commitment to playing an active role in regional development policies in the areas of education, employment, and innovation. The partnership between ISTP andArts et Métiers was, in fact, encouraged by the regional presidency and welcomed by all socio-economic stakeholders.

Since signing the partnership agreement in April 2022, the teaching teams at both institutions have been working to set up a work-study program for specialized engineers in mechanics and mechatronics, leading to an Arts et Métiers degree. This program received a positive opinion from the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieurs (CTI) for accreditation in April 2023.
The aim is to train high-level executives capable of managing complex projects focused on the design and eco-design of mechanical and mechatronic products and equipment: robots, exoskeletons, ABS or car trajectory control systems, electronically controlled pumps, automated assembly machines, etc.

The program is open to holders of a BUT, DUT, BTS, general or professional bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field, or a third-year bachelor's degree, as well as students from a scientific or technological CPGE (preparatory class for the grandes écoles). Admission is based on application and interview.
