In mid-September, more than 200 first and second-year students from the Grande École Program on campus Arts et Métiers Students from Bordeaux-Talence mobilized for a weekend organized by the student association Gasole. Between food drives, awareness workshops, and field actions, these two days placed solidarity, environmental responsibility, and cohesion between year groups at the heart of the program.
A collective mobilization in the service of solidarity
Among the weekend's highlights was a food drive organized in several stores near the campus. Thanks to the students' efforts, numerous items were collected to contribute to the charitable activities carried out by Gasole throughout the year, particularly outreach programs for the most vulnerable members of society.
This collective mobilization allowed students to engage concretely in a solidarity action, while sharing a unifying time between graduating classes.
Concrete actions to raise awareness of environmental issues
The environmental aspect was the second focus of this weekend. The students first went to the Maison de l'Environnement in Talence to participate in various awareness-raising activities, before taking part in workshops dedicated to recycling, reuse and waste reduction.
Led by students Arts et Métiers These workshops provided an opportunity to discover the different stages of plastic waste recycling using the equipment available on campus. A workshop introducing textile repair also raised participants' awareness of practices that extend the lifespan of clothing and promote its reuse.
