The first years of the Châlons-en-Champagne campus took on a major challenge with a day of diverse activities combining technical skills, awareness, and commitment.

Organized by Jean-François WOIRIN, head of logistics, in collaboration with the student associations of the three programs offered on campus and a large part of the staff, this challenge aimed to mobilize students around practical and responsible projects to improve the campus while developing their skills.

A project serving the campus

Divided into groups, the students carried out several activities, ranging from manufacturing to renovation and logistics. Each group was assigned a task: creating wooden structures, maintaining green spaces, preparing meals, and securing campus infrastructure. These projects allow students to develop technical skills while helping to improve common areas. For example, proposing a project for a new bicycle shelter or installing shelves for the residence hall reinforced their manual learning and team spirit.

Engaging activities

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) was a key focus of the day. Several activities were designed to raise student awareness of sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. These included planting trees to beautify the campus, designing an energy-efficient lighting system, and building a bat nest. These initiatives helped to instill in students an ecological and social awareness that will stay with them throughout their studies. Through these projects, the campus is committed to promoting active engagement with environmental issues.

An event that brings people together in a spirit of cohesion and conviviality

This challenge day also helped to strengthen cohesion among the students. By working together on joint projects, they were able to forge strong bonds and develop a spirit of solidarity. Some projects also focused on inclusion and accessibility, such as the creation of stickers to help visually impaired people find their way around campus. To round off the day, a concert was organized, bringing students and staff together for a convivial moment.
