Student life

Odyssée, founded in May 2023, is an association on the Aix campus that offers students experiences to develop their independence and create unforgettable memories in the heart of nature.

What is Odyssée, and what are its objectives?

The team organizes hikes, nights under the stars, and camping trips in beautiful locations.

To his credit, he has completed a three-day trek to Mont Ventoux, a week's walk along the Compostela route of the "Via de la Plata" in Spain, several two-day treks of varying difficulty in the Gorges du Verdon, two hitchhiking competitions in pairs to discover France and meet people from all walks of life, the ascent of Sainte-Victoire via the Bimont dam and Le Tholonet, a loop around the Zola and Bimont dams, hikes to the Saint-Consorce chapel (Lyon), in the Alpilles and Calanques (Sormiou, Callelongue, Sugiton, En-Vau), climbing Sainte-Beaume, kayaking in the Calanques, etc.

How are outings organized?

The organization of outings depends heavily on student schedules and weather conditions.
The goal is to introduce students who are not from the region and who may not return after their studies to the region's beautiful landscapes.
Plus, after midterms, there's nothing better than a getaway to nature to give everyone a well-deserved breath of fresh air.

The number of participants per outing is limited to ensure greater safety and a better experience for participants.

A few words about the organizing team?

The organizing team is made up of students who are passionate about nature and adventure. This experience has allowed them to develop skills in planning, project management, and teamwork.
They have also learned to manage complicated situations where, in the middle of nature, things don't always go as planned. " We often have to improvise while ensuring everyone's safety, " explains Grégoire, who initiated the project. " These skills are not only personally rewarding, but they will also be invaluable in our future careers, teaching us how to manage responsibilities and work effectively in a group. "

Odyssée is not just an association. Above all, it is an invitation to break out of your routine and explore new horizons. Whether on foot, by bike, kayak, or paraglider, Odyssée opens the door to adventure, discovery, and freedom for all students in the Grande Ecole Program.

Congratulations to the team behind this project: Grégoire Coussy, Roman Frédière-Boiteau, Baptiste Guillemin, Nicolas Petit, Samuel Boisset, Léo Shaham

Welcome to the new team consisting of Noah Hirzel, Titouan Brachet, Hugo Debost, Paul Guichard, and Baptiste Bertola!
