Corporate relations in the spotlight on the Angers campus for the start of the academic year!

Since the start of the academic year, numerous events aimed at businesses have been organized on the Angers campus.

SME Tour DGA

On Tuesday, September 17, the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers welcomed 160 companies for the DGA SME Tour.

The PME Tour DGA is an event dedicated to SMEs in the defense sector, co-organized by the Ministry of the Armed Forces, the Images & Réseaux cluster, the EMC2 cluster, ID4MOBILITY, and the Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique cluster, focusing on innovations in IoT, data, AI, robotics, and energy management.

During the event, participating companies had the opportunity to learn about the major projects underway at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers through a range of activities:

Workshop visits:
Composites,
Plastic deformation,
Foundry,
Fatigue resistance,
Durability.

Discover the DesCartes project
This project, created by Francisco Chinesta, a researcher at the PIMM laboratory (Paris campus) at the request of the CNRS and its Singapore-based subsidiary CREATE, uses hybrid AI to simulate physical phenomena in real time, thereby assisting decision-making in the service of smart cities.

Apprenticeship job dating

On the Angers campus, students in the Grande École Program have the opportunity to pursue their apprenticeship training during their three years of study.

At the start of each academic year, 25 first-year students are looking for a company to support them throughout their work-study program.
Last September, the campus organized two days of "apprenticeship job dating" dedicated to these students.

These events enabled them to meet with around twenty companies, practice job interviews, and refine their career plans.

Participating companies also had the opportunity to visit the school, including the workshops of the Angevin Laboratory of Mechanics, Processes, and Innovation. Thank you to the following companies for their participation: Nor-Feed, Indraero Siren, CHEREAU, Devillé Group, ORANO TEMIS, Safran - Defense, Ponticelli, Comeca Group, BATISTYL, AXIOME ASSOCIES, Aerocast Inc., SRT-Microcéramique, SNCF Voyageurs, Pusterla, Ortec Group, TOLECTRO, ProperPhi, Actemium, and Caterpillar Inc.

Business lunch with Vinci Energies

In October, around 20 second- and third-year students had the opportunity to attend a business lunch with VINCI Energies.

Over lunch, they had the opportunity to talk with former Gadzarts students and employees of the company: Loic GROMELLON, Industry Director, Adeline POTTIER, Stanislas GRUTER, Alumni and RA at Cegelec Angers Infras.

The aim of this meeting was to enable students to learn more about the Group's professions and discover career opportunities, whether for an end-of-studies internship or a professional training contract.

A great opportunity for our future engineers to plan their career paths!

Thanks to Charlotte TERNOY, campus corporate relations officer, for organizing this event.

The day's program:
