Interview with Nicolas Hullar. He looks back on the various successes achieved by AMJE Paris over the course of the year.

Nicolas Hullar, External Vice President of AMJE Paris. What were the highlights of the year for AMJE?

We have received two prestigious awards. This year, we are ranked among the top six Junior Enterprises in France according to the CNJE (National Confederation of Junior Enterprises). Joining the very exclusive L6 club is an unprecedented achievement in the history of AMJE!
In addition, we won the award for best engineering study at the last Junior Enterprises congress thanks to our work on the artificial sphincter developed for the Angers University Hospital. This study was recognized for its excellence and significant social impact in improving people's living conditions.
These successes crown the efforts of our three branches: Paris, Angers, and Metz, which joined us in 2023 . This confirms our conviction and motivation in our merger project.

What are the advantages of the merger?

This gives us greater stability: it facilitates the handover process, as students can serve two-year terms.
It also gives us greater visibility and credibility. An AMJE on campus generates an average turnover of €10,000. Our AMJE generated a turnover of €200,000 in less than a year! We have supported 40 clients from various sectors, including start-ups, microbusinesses/SMEs, government agencies, and large accounts. The satisfaction rate is nearly 95%, which is a testament to the quality of our service.
Thanks to this, we were able to work with Angers University Hospital and win the award!
Not to mention that this activity enabled us to pay more than €100,000 to Arts et Métiers students Arts et Métiers carried out studies for our Junior Enterprise.

What are your plans for next year?

We have just elected the new team and are organizing the handover. This will be all the easier as a large number of students are staying on for the next term!
We want to continue the merger, and some AMJEs seem interested.
We also want to continue to increase our revenue, in particular by prospecting players such as the BPI, chambers of commerce and industry, trade unions, etc.
Internally, our goal is to implement tools to automate our processes and secure our operations.
Ensuring the success of the association is essential. It proves not only our skills but also the excellence of our school, which supports us by providing its expertise in design, prototyping, and industrial innovation!
