Middle school students welcomed to the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Paris during the Cordées de la Réussite program

As part of the annual "Ambition Sciences ParisTech – ENCPB" success program, 23 students from this program and 12 high school students from the Chérioux program (Chérioux High School, Vitry) visited the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Paris on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 29. 

Emmanuel Richaud, lecturer and researcher at the Processes and Engineering in Materials Mechanics and head of Cordées de la réussite on the Paris campus, welcomed them. He began by introducing them to Arts et Métiers the courses offered there. 

Accompanied by students from the School, Baptiste Bignier, Rodrigue Payrard, Eliot Pechdimaldji, Augustin Trebaol-Pelleau, and Thomas Zischka, they then observedexperiments in two laboratories

- theGeorges Charpak Institute of Human Biomechanics with Christophe Muth-Seng 

  • Discover the experimental rooms for clinical or sports-related research 
  • - Presentation of medical imaging methods for model customization 

- the laboratory Processes and Engineering in Materials Mechanics 

  • Discovering piezos and nacelles with Marc Rebillat 
  • What are polymers and how are they made? with Emmanuel Richaud and Alain Gaudy  

Three student mentors from the Success Teams finally stepped in to talk about their experiences and answer questions from the students
