Organized by the French Society of Metallurgy and Materials (SF2M), this award honors Pierre Armand Jacquet’s contributions to metallography, particularly in the areas of electrolytic polishing and the use of replicas for fracture analysis.

Denis Lagadrillère, an AMVALORengineer at LaBoMaP, presented images taken with a JEOL FEG 7610 F scanning electron microscope at 800x magnification of zinc oxide crystals that had formed in confined areas of a CuZn39Pb2 brass water meter.
