“The ranking compiled by News Tank and Emerging fully takes into account the needs of industry,” notes Philippe Rouch, Director of Corporate Relations. “It highlights institutions that train students whose skills align with companies’ strategic shifts and major economic and societal transformations, while fostering close ties with the professional world. It is therefore an excellent sign to see Arts et Métiers third.

News Tank, a group of news agencies, and Emerging, a firm specializing in the employability of recent graduates, are conducting this survey for the second consecutive year.

A survey of 1,080 professionals

The News Tank-Emerging Awards are based on an exclusive survey of 1,080 French professionals. A total of 90 French institutions were evaluated.

As in the previous edition, the panel of experts evaluated them based on two main criteria:

  • graduate employability (40% of the final score): the ability to produce graduates who are ready to meet the challenges of the job market (quality of student profiles and the institution’s reputation);
  • Cooperation with businesses (60% of the final grade): evaluation of the quality of partnerships and interactions with the business community (forms of cooperation, organization and governance, regional roots, relevance of content, visibility).

The ranking was released by News Tank and Emerging on February 5, 2026, during the Think Education and Research event.
