This new branch, run by the Arts et Métiers Campus Arts et Métiers Bordeaux-Talence, has been offering a new Bachelor's degree in Science and Technology "Industrial Sectors" since the start of the 2025 academic year, designed to train young people close to their homes in the challenges of the industry of the future.

A new bachelor's degree to meet regional expectations

With 10 years of experience offering a Bachelor's degree in Technology at its Bordeaux campus, Arts et Métiers a new Bachelor's degree in Science and Technology specializing in "Industrial Sectors" in medium-sized cities in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, where there is a clear need for high-level training among both the general public and industry.

The Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Bordeaux will act as the pilot for this project and will be the hub of this network, whose first two branches—Bergerac and Niort—opened at the start of the 2024 academic year, with Dax set to follow at the start of the 2025 academic year.

This three-year vocational training program, which combines work and study, is open to students who have completed a general high school diploma with at least one scientific or technological specialization (STI2D), as well as students who have completed one or two years of higher education in a scientific or technological field and are looking to change direction.

Designed to meet specific regional industrial needs, the Bachelor Arts et Métiers Industrial Sectors aims to train innovation leaders for the industry of tomorrow

Throughout their training, students will benefit from constant interaction with companies through apprenticeship contracts (years 1 and 2) and professional training contracts (year 3), punctuated by dedicated events (visits, industry conferences, etc.).

The academic program offered to students will also enable them to develop skills in product, process, and energy engineering, coupled with project-based teaching based on the product life cycle.

Training with multiple career opportunities

The creation of this Bachelor's degree program thus addresses two challenges:

  • Echoing the Region's desire to develop industry in the territories of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, thereby becoming a player in "France 2030";

  • Provide quality training to young people from medium-sized cities, enabling them to participate in the economic and industrial development of their region.

  • By providing all the skills expected by companies in the sector, it opens up a range of possibilities with two types of career opportunities:
  • professional, by accessing middle management positions—for example, production unit or maintenance team manager—and thus participating in the development of industry in innovative sectors (aeronautics, automotive, wood, chemicals, eco-industry, fashion/luxury, sports, health, etc.).
  • academic, by enabling students to continue their studies at the higher education level.

For young people who wish to change direction or who have not found a training program, there are still places available for the 2025-26 academic year:
