A delegation, led by Mr Sixian Jiang, Party Secretary, Chairman of the University Council of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) visited Arts et Métiers on November 6, 2018.
The delegation was welcomed by Professor Laurent Champaney President of Arts et Métiers as well as Professor Xavier Kestelyn, Vice President for Education & Student Services.
SJTU & Arts et Métiers have been collaborating for over 10 years with over 120 Chinese and French students having graduated with a double degree from the 2 universities since the signature of the double degree program in 2008.
Both institutes expressed their wish to reinforce collaboration in the future particularly within the framework of the French initiative “Industrie du futur” and the Chinese initiatives “Made in China 2025”, “One Belt- one Road” in order to accompany both French and Chinese companies in their international development.
Future projects include the extension of double degree programs to the A&M Research master programs, double PhD programs, as well as strengthening research collaboration through the organization of joint workshops, professor exchanges ,etc.
SJTU will also host a research conference organized in October 2019, by the Arts et Métiers alumni association.

Arts et Métiers delegates included Professor Laurent Champaney President of Arts et Métiers as well as Professor Xavier Kestelyn, Vice President for Education & Student Services, Audrey Stewart, Director of International & European Development and Prof Ali Siadat, Advisor for Scientific collaboration with China.
