In 2024, Arts et Métiers reaffirms its commitment to promoting women in industry by appointing four women to key leadership positions. Marie Brandewiner, Director of the Arts et Métiers Incubator since 2021, has been named Director of Innovation. The institution now counts three women leading its campuses and institutes: Catherine Davy (Lille Campus), Amandine Duffoux (Angers Campus and Laval Institute), and Tatiana Reyes (Chambéry Institute).
Four Women in Leadership Roles at Arts et Métiers
Marie Brandewiner
Since 2021, Marie Brandewiner has led the Arts et Métiers Incubator, supporting start-ups specializing in innovative and sustainable industrial projects in fields such as mobility, robotics, materials, medical devices, energy, greentech, deeptech, industrial technologies, and Industry 4.0. In 2024, she has been named Director of Innovation and Head of the Start-Up Alliance, which complements the Incubator by creating a comprehensive ecosystem to foster industrial start-up growth. Through this initiative, start-ups gain access to Arts et Métiers' R&D expertise and financial and technical partners.
Catherine Davy
After becoming the first woman to lead an Arts et Métiers campus, Catherine Davy was appointed Director of the Lille Campus on July 15, 2024. She is committed to driving transitions in energy, ecology, and society. Her primary goal is to implement the institution's strategic project on a regional scale, particularly through the development of an Evolutive Learning Factory (ELF) on campus. This facility will feature fully digitized production lines, complete with digital twins, representing the industry of the future. She also plans to advance the school's commitments to social and environmental responsibility (CSR).
Amandine Duffoux
With over 20 years of experience in higher education and research, Amandine Duffoux has held leadership positions at various engineering schools, including EIGSI La Rochelle & Casablanca and the ESAIP group in Angers. In July 2024, she joined Arts et Métiers as Director of the Angers Campus and the Laval Institute. Her mission is to continue transforming these campuses into models of shared technological research and teaching platforms. She is excited about the upcoming inauguration of the new technological hall, hosting the IRT Jules Verne, as well as a new building integrating a "learning center," the Angers IUT, and the National School of Military Infrastructure Engineers.
Tatiana Reyes
Tatiana Reyes was appointed Director of the Arts et Métiers Chambéry Institute in June 2024. She aims to actively contribute to an ambitious development plan aligned with socio-ecological challenges, focusing on projects that support industrial transformation toward resilience and sustainability in local territories. Reyes also seeks to engage with the I2M laboratory and collaborate with other Arts et Métiers laboratories, such as LISPEN and LCPI. By forging new academic, socio-economic, and institutional partnerships within Arts et Métiers’ areas of influence, she aims to enhance the Institute's visibility at local, national, and international levels.
