A local partnership
In Sequedin (Nord), the KSB Group has a factory that employs more than 150 people and manufactures 45,000 submersible pumps each year for sanitation needs in buildings, local authorities, and industry. In other words, to ensure that wastewater flows to the nearest treatment plant. The same applies to the pumping of all fluids required for industrial activity in the region. From design to end of life, KSB pumps in Lille must meet numerous environmental challenges: eco-design, high hydraulic efficiency, energy efficiency, etc. As for the factory, it must constantly integrate new technologies (connected objects, robotics, artificial intelligence, 3D printing and augmented reality) that are transforming the professions of men and women and driving the heart of an entire region.
"The signing of this partnership agreement demonstrates KSB's commitment to providing quality training to students and promoting the employment of young graduates. I am convinced that this partnership will enable them to see for themselves that, contrary to popular belief, factories are collaborative workplaces and that they provide real solutions to the industrial challenges of tomorrow," said Nicolas Douaud, Plant Manager at KSB Lille.
