On Thursday, January 31, 2019, starting at 2 p.m., students fromthe Institut Imageand the IUT of Chalon-sur-Saône will present their virtual reality and augmented reality simulators, created as part of the Chal'enge Challenge, to a jury composed of companies and elected officials from Greater Chalon.

The Institut Image, affiliated withthe Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Cluny, is inviting itsMaster of Science and 2 students in "Digital Engineering" fromthe"3D Interactive Technology Management" program to participate in this Challenge for the fifth consecutive year. In addition, students fromthe Chalon-sur-Saône University Institute of Technology (IUT)enrolled in the professional bachelor’s degree program in “Image and Sound Techniques and Activities” are entering the competition.

TheChamber of Commerce and Industry,Nicéphore Cité—a hub for digital engineering, image, and sound—and theGreater Chalonmetropolitan area created this challenge to:

  • strengthen ties between academia and industry,
  • introduce students to the challenges and demands they will face after graduation,
  • open up new economic opportunities for businesses through the use of digital technologies, and thus promote these technologies.

The demonstrators will be presented at Nicéphore Cité on January 31, 2019, at 2 p.m. before a jury composed of companies and elected officials from Greater Chalon, with four prizes to be awarded at the end:

  • an economic opportunity cost,
  • a convincing price,
  • an Innovation Award,
  • and an audience award.
