In September 2016, the Metz campus launched its first professional training program: expertise Management of the Factory of the Future. This was a first for the campus, offering learners the opportunity to pursue their training while gaining real-world professional experience.
In response to growing interest among manufacturers in the challenges of the factory of the future, Arts et Métiers convinced companies such as Safran, Hexcel, and General Electric to take on its students as soon as the program begins. This approach is appealing because it combines periods of work experience with periods of campus-based training on current topics.
This first class concluded on September 1 with the students' end-of-year presentations. For the occasion, tutors and supervisors gathered to evaluate the quality of each student's work and validate their CQPM project manager certificates. The presentations gave rise to rich and interesting discussions. The encouraging feedback from tutors suggests that new professional training contracts will be signed for future cohorts.
The new promotion of expertise Management of the Factory of the Future consists of seven students. They have just begun their professional training contract with three weeks at their respective employers. They will then return there regularly every three weeks. Safran has renewed its confidence in the program again this year and has been joined by Thalès, ArcelorMittal, France Transfo, and GGB.
