Objectives

  • Train engineers capable of contributing to the installation, operation, and manufacture of nuclear power plant components, as well as to the development of innovative techniques that will pave the way for the nuclear power of tomorrow.
  • Raise awareness among engineers with a versatile initial training background about the specific characteristics of nuclear-related professions.
  • Equip engineers with a triple skill set in science, technology, and management.

Educational content

150-hour teaching unit on expertise

  • Module 1: Energy mix management and outlook for 2050
  • Module 2: How a Nuclear Power Plant Works
  • Module 3: Design and operation of the nuclear part
  • Module 4: Components and operation of the functional part

Targeted skills

Upon completion of the course, graduates will be able to:

  • Understanding and analyzing issues related to energy mix management and electrical grid load.
  • Differentiate between the various technologies related to nuclear energy production methods.
  • Understanding and implementing design and manufacturing choices for nuclear system components.
  • Managing a project, from needs analysis to technical implementation, including technology monitoring.

Nuclear facilities, electricity generation and distribution, energy mix management, design and manufacture of nuclear components, machinery and fluids, project management.
