Raphaël Lecomte, graduate of the Master's in New Energy Management (SYSPEC), class of 2009.

To develop his skills and move into a new sector, Raphaël trained at Arts et Métiers. Feedback.

Raphael_Lecomte_MSAfter obtaining an engineering degree from theGrenoble Institute of Technology (INPG), Raphaël Lecomte chose in 2009 to specialize in energy by enrolling in the SYSPEC Specialized Master's Degree taught on the Lille campus.

"After more than two years on a permanent contract, I wanted to specialize in energy in order to find a new job. I wanted training in the field of energy, particularly new methods of managing production resources, and the MS® SYSPEC met these expectations."

Developing your knowledge and your network

The training covers issues relating to energy production, storage, transport, and management. It aims to raise awareness and provide in-depth knowledge of technologies that enable the conversion of primary renewable energies into electricity and heat, and in particular, the problems caused by the multi-source primary context: wind, solar, etc., in combination with more traditional sources such as gas and interconnected electricity distribution networks. "Thanks to this training, I have acquired basic knowledge about the different forms of energy production, the management of decentralized systems, and the functioning of the French electricity grid. Beyond the skills I have acquired, the training has also enabled me to build a network."

Boost your career

With his MS® SYSPEC degree in hand, his career has progressed well: "I was a project manager at Engie for six years. Since January 2016, I have been a smart meter project manager at GRDF. The MS SYSPEC program gave me a real understanding of how the French energy sector is organized."
