The Franco-American Innovation Day, which brings together American and French researchers, companies, and investors, took place on Thursday, February 13, in the United States.
Two Arts et Métiers faculty members, Sébastien Jegou, associate professor at the Aix-en-Provence campus, and Mourad El Hadrouz, associate professor at the Châlons-en-Champagne campus, spoke at the event.

The latest edition of Franco-American Innovation Day, organized by the Office of Science and Technology at the French Embassy in the United States, Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES), and Arts et Métiers, took place in College Station on February 13.

On the agenda: scientific presentations; presentations by American and French startups; poster sessions and networking opportunities.

This day dedicated to Franco-American innovation aims to bring together leaders from industry, academia, and government to discuss the various opportunities at the intersection of smart manufacturing and artificial intelligence (AI) for Industry 4.0.

The day provided an opportunity to review five strategic themes: "Advanced AI and data science," "Additive and advanced manufacturing," "Digital twins and AR/VR," "Smart sensors and cybersecurity," and "Marketing strategies, skills, and management for Industry 4.0."
Sébastien Jegou, senior lecturer at the Aix-en-Provence campus, and Mourad El Hadrouz, senior lecturer at the Châlons-en-Champagne campus, representing Arts et Métiers, had the opportunity to speak during the session on "Transatlantic Industry-University Partnerships."
