The Zazous Vélos are two engineering students who, starting on September 10, will travel nearly 1,200 km to connect Saint-Nazaire to La Ciotat. The goal of this journey? To support the Premiers de Cordées association!

Martin Nguyen, an engineering student Arts et Métiers and former president of the Gadzarts Student Association in Lille, is in his third year of studies at Cranfield University in England. There, he met Eliott Guerin, a Polytech engineering student who is also involved in student life, as evidenced by his role as communications officer for the Polytech Grenoble student association during his second year of engineering studies. Together, the two engineering students decided to finish their studies with a memorable sporting achievement. "We both dreamed of a real sporting challenge between us to mark the end of our studies," says Martin. So, they decided to cycle more than 1,000 km in less than 15 days.

Committed to community values, the two future engineers wanted to link their challenge to an association so that their journey would highlight the work carried out by the latter. They chose "Premiers de cordées" (First Rope Teams).

"During our trip, we will meet lots of people, which will give us the opportunity to tell them about the association," explains Eliott. The two students have already developed a range of communication tools for their project. "They will be useful for communicating about our bike trip across France and will enable us to share information about the association."

Martin concludes, "Our engineering studies are very useful to us in the run-up to the trip. Thanks to them, we have learned about project management tools and have good organizational skills."
