More than 500 people took part in the events organized on October 20 and 21. The two days of festivities brought together partners, staff, and students from past and present around a common theme: the industry of the future.
A "partners" evening focused on the future
After a few words on the history of the campus and its projects, the evening was devoted to a round table discussion on the role of engineers in the industry of the future. Jean-Pierre Jager, editor-in-chief of La Semaine magazine and moderator of the round table, led the debate in a very accessible manner. Thanks to the various speakers, different facets of the industry of the future were addressed. Jean-Luc Hemmert, CEO of ThyssenKrupp Presta France, represented the industrial side, Benoit Marchand from CEA Tech Lorraine represented the institutional side, and Jean-Yves Dantan, lecturer and researcher, and Paul Stief, PhD student at the Metz campus, represented the academic side. All emphasized two points: people as the central element of the industry of the future and the possibility for every company, regardless of its size, to choose, brick by brick, the elements of the factory of the future to integrate.
After the round table, the partners and their counterparts atArts et Métiers able to visit the campus and chat over a buffet. In total, more than a hundred participants from around forty different organizations enjoyed the evening.
A friendly "internal" day
The following day, more than 400 people, including current and former students and staff, celebrated this anniversary. Throughout the day, visitors participated with their families in the activities on offer.
These two days of festivities were organized collectively by the staff and students of the Metz campus.
