Four Arts et Métiers doctoral students Arts et Métiers in the heSam final of My Thesis in 180 Seconds.

MT180My Thesis in 180 Seconds is a competition that allows doctoral students to present their research topic in French and in simple terms to a diverse audience of non-specialists. Each student has three minutes to give a clear, concise, and convincing presentation on their research project. All with the support of a single slide!

This year, four students from Arts et Métiers in the heSam final on April 26:

  • Laurent Chougrani for his thesis on "Advanced modeling of complex shapes of mechanical parts for additive manufacturing processes" supervised by Philippe Véron and Jean-Philippe Pernot, LSIS laboratory (Laboratory of Information and Systems Sciences);
  • Gabriel Margalida for his thesis on "Study and control of play vortex in an axial compressor" supervised by Antoine Dazin, LML laboratory (Laboratoire de Mécanique de Lille);
  • Charlotte Heslouin for her thesis on "Developing indicators to monitor and predict the effectiveness of environmental product design across the entire customer-supplier chain," supervised by Nicolas Perry, I2M Laboratory (Institute of Mechanics and Engineering);
  • Zaid Boussattine for his thesis on "Study of the effect of plastic dissipation in heat at the tip of a propagating fatigue crack" supervised by Nicolas Ranc and Thierry Palin-Luc, from Pimm (Laboratory of Processes and Engineering in Mechanics and Materials)

They will be judged by a five-member jury:

- Younes FAYDI, winner of MT180 2016

- Sophie BLITMAN, journalist for Le Monde Campus, specialist in innovation. Education in literature and social sciences.

- Bendicht WEBER, VP heSam University "Development and Corporate Relations," professor and researcher at ENSAPLV

- Clotilde FERROUD, VP heSam University "Research," Director of Research at Cnam

- Valérie BENMOUSSA, representative of our partner La CASDEN
