The Sustainable Development Meetings, of which Arts et Métiers a partner, will take place online from September 27 to October 14, 2021. Registration is now open. The day co-organized by Arts et Métiers the theme "Designing the industry of the future" will take place on October 2.

How can we build the cities of the future? Why and how should we combine different energy sources? Are we ready to design the industry of tomorrow? How should we invest in sustainable finance? Will all this enable us to build inclusive societies? These are just some of the topics that will be addressed at the Sustainable Development Meetings, created bythe Open Diplomacy Institute, which will take place online from September 27 to October 14.

The Designer Industry of the Future workshop organized by Arts et Métiers Saturday, October 2

The program is structured around 10 themed days. Arts et Métiers, a partner of the event, is organizing the Designer l’industrie du futur (Designing the Industry of the Future) day on October 2, with the participation of Richard Bearee, professor Arts et Métiers and director of the Physical and Digital Systems Engineering Laboratory, and Xavier Chateau, deputy group director.
The workshop will be hosted at 9:15 a.m. by Anaïs Voy-Gillis, Co-President of the Open Diplomacy Institute, Laurent Champaney, CEOArts et Métiers, Xavier Bertrand, President of the Hauts-de-France region, and Daniel Leca, Vice President of the Hauts-de-France region, responsible for universities, research, innovation, and Europe.
The debates will focus on the digital revolution and environmental disruptions: will Industry 4.0 deliver productivity gains to the point of offering hope for real ecological sobriety without social disruption, or will it lead to even greater mass consumption?

The Sustainable Development Meetings will take place entirely online.
